Web Application Developer

Job Summary Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Web Application Developer to be responsible for development and maintenance of our industry-leading, cutting-edge web-based applications. Using your knowledge of .Net development, you will create and hone web apps andmobile sites/applications that revolutionize the global business of insurance.  Your ability to develop these innovative web solutions will be key in delivering on our commitments to our customers and our industry. Additional responsibilities include: Perform project estimation and planning functions Participate in integration and system testing Develop and maintain an understanding of business needs and objectives Manage multiple projects using organizational/planning skills Operate within defined standards and procedures Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience 0-3+ years of experience developing web-based applications and websites ideally using C#/ASP.net Will consider applicants with both education and professional web development experience, as we have multiple openings available Experience with any of the following a plus, but not required: MVC, SQL Server, HTML, jQuery, JavaScript, REST, APIs Experience in an Agile development environment is a plus Working knowledge of web standards and web browser capabilities Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities Ability to work in a deadline driven environment Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
