Electronic Work Cell Assembler - Sirens

Summary of Position
Under direct supervision, preform duties to assemble part and/or equipment in accordance with customer specification and quality standards.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Works from blue prints, schedules, shop orders, spec sheets, process instructions, and test instructions that are either written, shown on computer screen, or verbal.
Reviews production schedules for specific periods and arranges for parts, materials, supplies, tooling, gauges and other equipment to meet production requirements.
Requisition and store materials.
Passes Kan Ban cards to producing departments per defined guidelines.
Accumulates and removes items between storage areas and work cell.
Fills out and submits requisitions, move tickets, finished goods tickets, scrap tickets.
Selects, verifies, and identifies quantity and condition of materials.
Records and/or calls attention to shortages, defective/damaged materials.
Sets up work cell equipment. Makes operational checks as required.
Monitors work visually to maintain quality standards. Notifies group leader/supervisor of defects and/or operating difficulties.
Uses hand or power tools, pallet jacks, hand trucks, fixed gauges, jigs, meters, CRT, fax machines, and computers.
Performs preventative maintenance (cleaning, oiling, inspecting and minor adjustments) on equipment in the work cell.
Trains new and existing employees to effectively work within the department and instructs them in all facets of the work cell operation.
Follows safety rules and keeps the work cell area in a clean and orderly condition.
Uses computer to check the status of an order for customers and checks the status of a shop order.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Blue Print Reading, Basic Mechanical Education, knowledge of hand tools pertaining to assembly
2 years' experience in manufacturing environment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
