Mechanical Engineering Intern

We are currently seeking and Mechanical Engineering Intern based out of our facility in University Park, Illinois.
The Engineering intern will be responsible for assisting the Design Engineering team with activities related to new product development, sustaining engineering and test engineering. This individual will have the opportunity to become an instrumental part of the daily design engineering activities.
1. Assist engineers with new product development projects:
Develop electrical and mechanical prototypes;
Create 2D and 3D drawings;
Review instruction sheets;
2. Assist engineers with product testing:
Coordinate product testing with internal and external lab;
With use of test report create product compliance documentation;
3. Documentation:
Assist with creation and documentation of engineering change requests;
Assist with the completion of vehicle up-fit manuals for various agencies;
4. Perform other duties as requested

Position Requirements:EDUCATION and SKILLS:
Undergraduate student pursuing major in Mechanical or General Engineering; must have completed at minimum of 2 years of college
Solid analytical skills and self-motivated
Ability to effectively communicate
Willingness to work in a team environment
Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Benefits of Employment:Benefits include paid holiday on Independence Day and company subsidized cafeteria.
This is a non-exempt classified position and therefore eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 in a workweek.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
