Job Summary Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Support Technician Accounting to become a part of our outstanding Support team, which plays an essential role in keeping Applied Systems at the top of the insurance technology industry. You will assist our customers with any questions or problems they may have regarding the Accounting-based features of our software. You will provide friendly, informed, and efficient customer service via telephone, Internet chat, and email. To be successful in this role, you will need exposure to one or more basic accounting and/or finance concepts (i.e. managed budgets in a retail setting, processed financial transactions at a bank, or pursued a degree in accounting/finance). You will then be trained in full on these concepts in order to support customers on this very critical feature of our software product.
Additional responsibilities include:
Provide effective, efficient customer service in a professional and courteous manner
Escalate issues to the proper level/area of customer support when necessary
Requirements:
1
year of customer service experience
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance highly preferred
General understanding of one or more basic accounting and/or finance concepts (i.e. budgeting, processing financial transactions, etc.) via professional or education experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong telephone skills
Experience working with personal computers and in Microsoft Applications
Multi-tasking capabilities and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
Ability and desire to expand with changing marketplace and technology
Conflict-resolution capabilities and the ability to deal with emotional and/or difficult callers

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
