Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions and record maintenance of the Human Resources department and acts as the front-line interface for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, employment processes and various concerns.
Qualifications:
Ability to interface, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization and outside businesses while consistently maintaining a positive professional demeanor.
Solid problem resolution skills with the ability to make judicious and independent on-the-spot decisions.
Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
Experience using payroll and/or HRMS systems.
Proficient in MS Office.
Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred.
Typical Duties and
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary interface for day-to-day employee questions and concerns.
Process weekly payroll ensuring all time off, benefits, wage deductions and related items according to company policy and legal requirements.
Audit and submit temp-to-hire time cards to staffing agencies and reconcile corresponding invoices on a weekly basis.
Maintain employee and temp-to-hire time and attendance records.
Communicate with supervisors and staffing agencies regarding missing records and discrepancies.
Monitor attendance for potential disciplinary process or FMLA triggers.
Take appropriate initial actions including communicate with supervisors / HR Manager / staffing agencies on a timely basis.
Process weekly payroll ensuring all time off, benefits, wage deductions and related items according to company policy and legal requirements.
Audit and submit temp-to-hire time cards to staffing agencies and reconcile corresponding invoices on a weekly basis.
Assist in explaining and providing information on employee benefits and wellness.
Aid employees in the use of online benefit systems.
Lead or assist with the coordination of company events such as company picnics, wellness and safety related health screenings.
Maintenance of inventory and administration related to employee recognition programs.
Help organize and participate in new employee orientations and ensure related documentation is complete.
Maintain employee records.
Assist with exit interviews and processing exiting/terminated employee paperwork.
Assist with communication and administration related to workers compensation injuries.
Update and maintain records and assist with general administration related to employee performance reviews and goals.
Responsibilities may include sending notices of upcoming reviews, follow-up with management and employees for required information, attending in-person reviews as a witness and/or translator.
Participate in and promote personal and organizational growth initiatives in alignment with Company mission, goals, and corporate values.

Ability to handle disruptions and unplanned events to daily schedule, high volume of paperwork and fast-paced environment.
Position is full-time Monday - Friday 8:
00am - 4:
30 pm with occasional overtime.
Must have flexibility to work occasional Company events on an evening or weekend (3-4 times per year) and rotate with team for occasional coverage to assist off-shift employees.
Ability to perform in active office environment, including ability to complete paperwork, work on a computer, handle filing and office equipment, and change activities frequently.
Vision sufficient to perform above-described tasks with or without correction.
Ability to perform duties as assigned in manufacturing shop floor environment.
Ability to move and handle 10 pounds occasionally during the workday.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
